FinCEN Registration and BSA Compliance

Ethio American LLC is registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a Money Services Business pursuant to 31 CFR 1022.380. As an MSB, we maintain a comprehensive Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance program that includes written internal policies and procedures, independent testing of the compliance program, designation of a compliance officer, ongoing employee training, and a risk-based customer due diligence program.

We file all required reports with FinCEN including Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for qualifying transactions and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required by 31 CFR 1022.320. All records are maintained for the minimum periods required under 31 CFR 1010.430.

USA PATRIOT Act Compliance

Ethio American LLC complies with the requirements of the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 (USA PATRIOT Act), including Section 326 Customer Identification Program requirements. No account is activated prior to completion of identity verification procedures consistent with our CIP.

State Money Transmission Licensing

Money transmission licensing requirements vary by state. Ethio American LLC operates in compliance with applicable state money transmission laws in the states where it offers services. Services may not be available in all states. Users are encouraged to contact us at support@crestmont.co.com to confirm service availability in their state of residence before creating an account.

Where state law requires specific disclosures, those disclosures are provided to users at the time of account creation and at applicable transaction points.

OFAC Sanctions Compliance

Ethio American LLC screens all account applicants and transactions against the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list and other applicable sanctions lists. Accounts or transactions that match sanctions screening criteria are blocked pending further review, as required by applicable law.

Identity Verification Requirements

All Crestmont account holders must complete identity verification before any transaction is permitted. Verification requires submission of a valid government-issued photo identification document, full legal name matching the ID, date of birth, residential address, and Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Business accounts require additional documentation including entity formation documents and beneficial ownership information.

Verification is conducted through a combination of automated document verification and manual review. We reserve the right to request additional documentation for enhanced due diligence purposes.

Transaction Monitoring

All transactions on the Crestmont platform are subject to automated monitoring for unusual patterns, including but not limited to: transactions inconsistent with stated account purpose, structuring patterns designed to avoid reporting thresholds, rapid movement of funds through the platform, and transactions involving high-risk jurisdictions or counterparties. Flagged transactions may be delayed, held, or declined pending compliance review.

Suspicious Activity Reporting

Ethio American LLC files Suspicious Activity Reports with FinCEN as required by 31 CFR 1022.320 when we know, suspect, or have reason to suspect that a transaction involves funds from illegal activities, is designed to evade reporting requirements, lacks a lawful purpose, or involves use of the platform to facilitate criminal activity. SAR filings are confidential and cannot be disclosed to the subject of the report under federal law.

No Anonymous Transactions

Crestmont does not permit anonymous transactions under any circumstances. All account holders must be identity-verified before any transaction is processed. We do not offer services to persons who decline to provide identity verification information.

Cryptocurrency Risk Disclosure

Cryptocurrency involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Not FDIC insured. Not bank guaranteed.

Digital assets are not legal tender and are not backed by any government. The value of digital assets can increase or decrease substantially in short periods of time. You should only engage in digital asset transactions with funds you can afford to lose entirely.

Nothing on this platform or in any Crestmont communication constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice. All transaction decisions are made solely by the account holder.

Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed on the network. Errors in transaction details, including incorrect wallet addresses, cannot be reversed by Crestmont after network confirmation.

Error Resolution Procedures

If you believe an unauthorized transaction has occurred or an error has been made in your account, contact Crestmont promptly at support@crestmont.co.com or by calling +1 (941) 955-7859. Please provide your account information, a description of the suspected error or unauthorized transaction, the transaction ID if available, and the dollar amount involved. We will acknowledge receipt of your report and investigate the matter. Our investigation procedures and applicable response timeframes are set forth in our Terms of Use.

Complaint Submission Process

Include your account information, a description of the issue, and the resolution you are seeking. All complaints are logged, reviewed by our compliance team, and responded to within a reasonable timeframe. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate to the applicable state financial regulator in your state of residence or to FinCEN as appropriate.

Cancellation Rights

Certain transactions may be eligible for cancellation within applicable timeframes under state money transmission law. Cancellation rights, where available, are described in the transaction disclosure provided at the point of transaction. Once a cryptocurrency transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain network, it generally cannot be reversed. Contact us promptly if you believe a cancellation right applies to your situation.
